Clarence H. Flowers, Jr., 81, of Silsbee, Texas died on Saturday, December 05, 2009 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Clarence was born in Mooringsport, Louisiana. He graduated from Sour Lake High School and the University of Texas in Austin. Clarence worked in the geophysical field of the oil industry until he retired to Silsbee, Texas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Clarence H. Flowers, Sr. and Bert Tanner Flowers, and his brother Ronald Flowers of Virginia.
Clarence is survived by his wife Martha Nixon Flowers, daughters Jeanet Steffey and husband Mike of Crockett, Texas, Janette Flowers of Houston, Texas and by his son Richard L. Flowers of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by five grandchildren along with three nieces and a nephew in Virginia.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday, December 7, 2009 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with a private graveside service at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake. Visitation will be 4:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
