Funeral services for Robert Roscoe Johnson, 82, of Lumberton will be 2:00 pm Friday, February 5, 2010 with interment following in Leatherwood Cemetery in Lumberton. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Mr. Johnson died February 1, 2010 at his residence.
A native of Romayor in Liberty County, Mr. Johnson was a long time resident of Lumberton. He retired from Montgomery Truck Line and proudly served his country during WWII in the US Army.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, McClellan and Sadie Rubert Johnson and a brother.
Survivors include his wife Frances Lucas Johnson of Lumberton; son Robert McClelland Johnson of Lumberton; daughters Carol Sue Neely and Gloria Jean Klock, both of Lumberton; brother Bill Johnson of Athens; sisters Maxine Hale and Veda Ann Talbert, both of Athens; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
