Graveside services for Charles Wayne "Sonny" Phillips, 64, of Evadale will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Fellowship Cemetery in Warren under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Phillips died February 14, 2010 at his residence in Evadale.
Sonny was born March 27, 1945 in Selene, Louisiana and was a longtime resident of Evadale. He was a retired car man for Southern Pacific Railroad where he worked for twenty years. He proudly served his country with the US Army.
Survivors include wife Melba Phillips of Evadale; sons Douglas Wayne Phillips of Skidmore, Tryon Phillips of Woodville, Rex Tousha of Evadale and Jon Sharp of California; seven grandchildren; brother Kenneth "Buddy" Phillips of Warren; sisters Claudine Guy of Lake Charles, Louisiana, Mary Ann Wagnor and Esther Buckley both of Fort Worth and many, many nieces and nephews.
