Ollie Lee Phillips, 87, of Bridgewater, New Jersey and formerly of Silsbee and Houston, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, March 13, 2010 after a mercifully brief battle with cancer.
Ollie was born in Anacoco, Louisiana on August 26, 1922 to Andrew and Georgia Mitchell. She was a homemaker, gardener and ardent quilter who provided beautiful memories through her quilts for many of her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Phillips Boucher and treasured grandchildren Allison and Matthew Boucher, all of Bridgewater, NJ. She is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Martin Wheeler Phillips; her parents; brothers Roy, Rufus and Curtis Mitchell and sisters Eunice Mitchell, Pearlie Mae Mitchell, Bernice Green and Ruth Powdrill.
Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home.
