Oh, What a Friend. I met him one morning about 7 am . I was stuck in a ditch at a Garage Sale,2 hours later ,after much effort,we got my truck out of the ditch and realized we had really needed Neff Brother's and sure enough needed a cup of coffee,so we went across the street to his beautiful home and his wonderful beautiful wife gave us a cup of coffee. I've loved them both ever since. I'm so sorry ,but he will surely be waiting on you all, because he sure showed me God's love that day to a stranger, but for sure he was not a stranger to anyone. Everytime we saw each other from then on at sales we all laughed, were just all glad I wasn't stuck. We laughed every time.Me and Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Hooks my friends forever. Love Mary Riedinger

We have been blessed to be neighbors of Mr. & Mrs. Hooks for the last fifteen years. They were the first to welcome us to the neighborhood with some wonderful tomatoes from his garden. My wife and & I have the Hooks family in our prayers. Sincerely, Shawn & Karen Tolley

Our thoughts and prayers are with Myrtle and her family during this difficult time. She and Jesse have been our "across the street" neighbors for over thirty years. They have always been the perfect example of what a neighbor really means! You will be sorely missed, Mr. Jesse!! You can rest easy now.....All our love, John and Dee.
