Roy Cuthbert FoxRoy Cuthbert Fox, 71, of Silsbee, Texas passed away at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital, Monday, March 29, 2010.

He was born October 6, 1938 in Beaumont Texas to Eula Mary Byrd and Walter Cuthbert Fox.

Funeral services for Mr. Roy Fox will be 11am Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee where there will be a Masonic graveside service.

Visitation will begin 5pm Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at the funeral home.

He served 4 years and 7 months in the United States Air Force. He retired from the Pipefitters Local Union 195 and was a proud union man for 49 years.

Roy was on the Examining Board and Executive Board. He also taught in the Apprentice School.

Mr. Fox loved his politics and was a proud democrat.

He was a good natured man that enjoyed going to his camp with his family, playing his guitar and singing to anyone that would listen and he never met a stranger.

Preceded in death by brother William Edgar Fox.

Survivors include his wife and best friend Margaret Ann Fox of Silsbee; two sons Michael Fox and wife Tisha of Kountze, Ronnie Fox and Dawn of Silsbee.

Poppa had one grandson Corey Michael Fox and wife Krissy of Vidor and three great granddaughters, Kayla, Angie, and Patience; sisters Patsy Lockhart and husband Chris of Lumberton, TX and Ima Jean Harris of Alexandra, LA.; he also leaves behind numerous family members.

Poppa we all love you and are going to miss you so very much.

I was so sorry to hear about Roy. I know you will miss him dearly. It brings comfort knowing he's in heaven singing to daddy. I didn't learn of Roy's passing until Thursday at 11:30. I woundn't have missed the funeral for anything.

The Silver Fox....during the CB days, he was always on the CB in the mornings on the way to work.Roy was such a pleasant,positive man;always willing to help if needed.Now he can talk on the ultimate CB called Heaven. 10-4 Silver Fox, you will always be remembered..Rest in peace.
