Rev. William Howard HugginsFuneral services for Reverend William Howard Huggins, 79, of Lumberton will be 2:00 Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Silsbee with a military graveside service following at R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Tuesday at Farmer Funeral Home.

Reverend Huggins died May 24, 2010 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

A native of Braggs, OK, Howard was a long time resident of Lumberton. He worked for Reynolds Metal Company from 1955 - 1990 where he was firechief and captain of security. He became a preacher in 1990 and pastored Batson Prairie Baptist Church in Batson and West End Baptist Church in Saratoga. Rev. Huggins retired from preaching in 2000. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Reverend Huggins is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Lou Cleek Huggins of Lumberton; sons Bill Huggins and wife Jami of Silsbee and Paul Huggins and wife Melody of Ponder; grandsons Jason and wife Miranda, David and wife Heather, Gable, Gerod and Will; granddaughter Kaitlyn; brothers Harold Huggins and Robert Huggins, both of Edmond, OK and a host of extended relatives and friends.

The Silsbee Volunteer Fire Department will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mary Lou and Family, we are thinking of you and your family. We will miss Howard and know that he is now painfree and whole in the house of his lord and savior.

Just wanted your families to know we are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. God is so merciful and gracious He will see you through this hard time. Remember He loves you and has your dad, husband and grandfather and friend in his safe keeping until we can all be together again. Let us know if there is anything you need.
