Pete, Lisa and Josh: So very sorry for the loss of your wife and mother. I, along with Emma and Sandra, worked with Dee Ann while at City Hall, and she was a wonderful wonderful person. She had come to Crystal a time back, and she stopped to visit with me here at Farm Bureau, where I work. She fought the fight, and she won the war. We will miss her, but have many beautiful memories of a very special person who was a part of our lives. Cristina Flores

Lisa, Pete and family; you are in our thoughts and prayers during this sad time. I know you will all find strength and comfort in God, each other and your wonderful memories. I was thinking about when we saw you all at the Cattle Co last year and we took a picture of the group. It seemed chaotic at the time but now I'm so glad we did. Life is truly a walk of faith. Love and prayers to you all.

Dear Pete and family, you are in my thoughts and prayers. As I said, when I met Dee Ann in May "You are so beautiful." Now when I read what those sixth grade boys said about her I see where she kept that beauty through the years. I am glad I was able to meet her and revisit with you after so many years. Peace, Lilli

There is not enough you can say about Dee. Ever the optimist, never the complainer- a very compassionate & caring person. She loved her whole family to the utmost. She was always full of life and energy. I know er loss is overwhelming to Lisa, Josh & Pete & butch. A very great lady. The earth's loss is Heaven's gain. My prayers are with you all.

Lisa - I met your mother, Dee Ann, when she joined our 6th grade class at Silsbee. I still remember the day that her mother brought her to school for the 1st time at Silsbee.Dee ann was wearing a pretty dress and had a red or orange ribbon or small scarf around her neck. She was stunningly beautiful. All of the 6th grade boys thought that the good lord had shined upon us that day. She was all we could talk about, but all of us were too shy, I think, to talk directly to such a beautiful young girl. We knew we had been blessed, though. In addition to her beauty, Dee Ann possessed a marvelous and fun-loving personality. I knew her as a wonderful young lady, and will continue to remember her as such. I deeply regret her passing, but know that she is now in a better place. May God be with you, Keith Wingfield

I never had the privilege of meeting Dee Ann but her sweet daughter, Lisa is my step sister. I can only assume by knowing Lisa that Dee Ann was a sweet, loving woman who put her family above all else in her life. Her daughter Lisa exemplifies so many wonderful qualities and the saying is that the fruit does not fall far from the tree. I pray that God gives comfort and peace during this time. I also pray that He sends those to comfort you when the dust settles and life continues forward. Loving Lisa and family with thoughts and prayers, Kimberly Drum and family.
