Funeral services for Walter Franklin Spittler, 90, of Spurger will be 2:00pm Sunday, August 8, 2010 at R.S. Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery. Visitation will begin 5:00pm Saturday August 7, 2010 at the funeral home.
Mr. Spittler died August 6, 2010 at Gulf Healthcare in Port Arthur.
He was a long time resident of Nederland and Spurger and had retired as a supervisor from U.S. Steel.
Mr. Spittler was preceded in death by wife Effie Spittler.
Survivors include three sons Rueben Spittler and wife Shirley, Riley Spittler, and Robert Spittler all of Spurger; one Daughter Linda Stansbury and husband Lynn of Beaumont; two brothers Melvin Spittler of Nederland and Bill Spittler of Huntsville; eight grandchildren, fourteen great granchildren and two great great grandchildren.
