Lyndell, sweetheart of my life, I want you to know how much your dad meant to me not only as a father-in-law, but also as a close friend. I still remember how nervous I was to ask him for your hand in marriage, but I also remember how happy he was for us.
Marge, Janie, Jimmy, and Danny I also want you all to know how wonderful it is to be part of your family. We will all miss this wonderful and caring man. We will never forget all the great memories we shared with him throughout our short lives. We need to keep to our faith that we will all see him again soon in heaven with our everlasting God where we will spend eternity in all his fatherly love. Marge, Lyndell, Danny, Jimmy, Janie, and families: I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved husband, father, and grandfather. I remember when you first moved to Lumberton and we lived in the same neighborhood. I loved being at your house and always being treated like one of the family. Your dad was such a wonderful man with a great sense of humor and always had a smile to share. He will be greatly missed. I wish there was something I could say that would ease the hurt that you are feeling. Please know that I am here if you need anything at all, even if it's just someone who can offer a shoulder to cry on. Rely on your faith in God to give you comfort and strength as you face the days ahead. Lean on your family and friends who love and support you. Funeral services for Daniel Joseph Sciandra, 68, of Lumberton will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at R.S. Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R.S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm Monday, December 27 and Tuesday, December 28 at the funeral home. A rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Tuesday night during visitation.
