Funeral services for Willie Gene Oglesby, 71, of Kirbyville will be 1:00 pm Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 am to 1:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Oglesby died January 28, 2011 at Avalon Place in Kirbyville, Texas.
Willie was a native of Sturgis, Mississippi before moving to Kirbyville four years ago. He was a tugboat captain for Buffalo Marine.
Survivors include son Mark Atkins of Kirbyville; daughters Shelia Gore of Huntsville, Alabama, Betty Jones of Gulfport, Mississippi, Gail Brewer of Columbus, Mississippi, Judy Trahan and Brenda Reed both of Lumberton; brothers Eddie B. Oglesby and Lavern Oglesby both of Sturgis, Mississippi; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
