Funeral services for Sam Fairchild Humble, Jr., 84 of Evadale will be 10:00am Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Central Baptist Church in Evadale with interment following in Knupple Cemetery. Visitation will begin 5:00pm Monday, February 14, 2011 at R.S. Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Mr. Humble died February 12, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
He was a native of Silsbee and resident of Evadale.
Mr. Humble retired as an iron worker and served his country in the Army during WW2.
He was preceded in death by his late wife Billie Jean, son Michael Wayne, parents Samuel F. and Gertie Humble; sisters Jackie Gilchrist, Bobbie Jenkins and brother Leon Humble.
Survivors include wife Edna Humble; two sons Sammy Humble and wife Sharon of Silsbee and Robert Humble and wife Omarine of Evadale; his four step sons David Hancock and wife Paula of Evadale, Daniel Hancock and wife Linda of Silsbee, Danny Hancock of Buna, Ronnie and wife Stacie Hancock of Buna; four daughters Brenda Goats and husband Gary of Orange, Beverly Baumann and husband Wayne of Silsbee, Debbie Goins and husband Keith of Silsbee, Jeanette Ard of Robertsdale, Ala; his three step daughters Linda and late husband Larry Benefield of Buna, Martha Harding and husband Brian of Buna and Mary Morgan and husband Raymond of Vidor; three sister Frances Ann Jenkins, Billie Ward and JoAnna Scoggins; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
