A Service of Remembrance for Sophie Ann Miller, 96, of Silsbee will be 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 22 at Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm day of service. Interment will be 11:00 am Wednesday at San Jacinto Cemetery in Houston.

Mrs. Miller died February 18, 2011 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Sophie was a native of Houston and had been a resident of Silsbee since 1957. She retired from the Evadale paper mill in 1980 with over 20 years of service.

Preceded in death by her son Joe Bill Miller, Jr. and daughter Charlotte Williams.

Survivors include daughter Dorothy Griffin and husband Malcolm of Lumberton; daughter-in-law Barbara Miller of Dallas; grandchildren Larry Harrison and wife Michelle of Baytown, Paul Griffin and wife Yolanda of Woodville, Jeff Griffin of Lumberton, Adam Miller and wife Audra of Dallas, Gail Thibodeaux of Lumberton, Andrew Miller of Austin and Amanda Marrone and husband Mike of Dallas; great-grandchildren Victoria Springer of Pearland, Allen Brent Vestal and family of Austin, Alexis Lee of Lumberton, Kaleigh Thibodeaux of Lumberton, Madison Griffin of Woodville, Zackary Thibodeaux of Lumberton, Lauren Griffin of Woodville, Lindsay Post of Lumberton and Levi Marrone of Dallas; great-great grandchildren Logan Whitehead of Pearland and Braedon Springer of Pearland; brothers Joseph Wimmer of Houston and Roy Wimmer and wife Bobbie Jane of Baytown and lots of nieces and nephews.
