Britton Monroe Spurlock, Sr. Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1948 - 2011 Funeral services for Britton Monroe Spurlock, Sr., 62, of Spurger will be 10:00 am Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Monday at the funeral home. Mr. Spurlock died February 26, 2011 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Britton was a native and lifelong Silsbee resident before moving to Spurger. He was retired from Santa Fe Railroad. Britton was a past Master with the Silsbee Masonic Lodge. Survivors include wife Laura Spurlock of Spurger; sons Britt Spurlock of Spurger, Randy Spurlock and Bo Spurlock both of Silsbee; mother Glenna Erwin of Spurger; grandchildren Tre' Spurlock, Ashleigh Spurlock, Samuel Spurlock and Lauren Spurlock; five step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren and sister Linda Rountree of Silsbee.

Laura, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Monroe. I enjoyed the years he and I worked together on the Santa Fe. He was a good man and will be missed.
