Funeral services for William Taylor Whitsitt, 86, of Silsbee will be 2:00pm Thursday, March 10, 2011 at Farmers Funeral Home. A Military graveside service will follow in Morse Cemetery.
Visitation will begin 5:00pm Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the funeral home.
Mr. Whitsitt died March 8, 2011 at his residence.
Mr. Whitsitt was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved being in the outdoors.
He was a retired welder and served his country in the Army during WWII.
Mr. Whitsitt was a native of Wills Point, Tx and resident of Silsbee.
He is preceded in death by parents Harry and Mattie Whitsitt; two brothers; one sister and son Danny.
Survivors include his wife Lucille Whitsitt; one son William Whitsitt and wife Cassy of Hemphill; one daughter Carolyn Parker and husband Ray of Silsbee; one brother Hal Whitsitt; ten grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
