Vivian Alice Butler, 84, of Lumberton, died March 12, 2011 at her daughter's residence.
She was born to Kelly and Ora Woods Tipton, February 14, 1927 in Beaumont, Texas and was a graduate of South Park High School.
She is survived by her daughter, Trudie Nelson and husband Glynn of Lumberton; two grandchildren Joshua Nelson and Autumn Nelson-Richards both of Lumberton. She was blessed with two great-granddaughters, Abigail Grace Nelson and Rhianna Raine Richards both of Lumberton, and her sister and best friend Doris Calder of China, Texas, also, 2 special sisters-in-law, Estelle Butler and Tom Jennusa as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Byron Gordon Butler, her parents, brothers Loman, Jack and Cal Tipton and her sister Polly Rymer.
There will be a gathering of family and friends Monday, March 14, 2011 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee beginning at 7:00 pm.
A private family memorial service is planned for a later date.
