
Charles T. Olsen, 82, of Silsbee passed away Friday, March 18th in Beaumont. He was a native of Port Aransas, Texas.
Charles served two tours of duty with the U. S. Navy, serving at the end of WWII and the Korean War.
He had the privilege of working and traveling around the world as an engineer working on oil and gas plants. He was able to travel the world with his loving wife of 54 years, Marilyn.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Annette Olsen; his brother, Albert Olsen and his grandson, Joel Schooling.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn; daughters Cindy Schooling of Silsbee and Pam Perkl and husband Larry of Houston; son Ted Olsen and wife Karin of Spring; grandchildren Lief and Meagan Goldsmith of Silsbee, Claire, Max and Jake Olsen of Spring and great granddaughter Zoei Goldsmith of Silsbee.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, March 21, 2011 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Moulder Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
