Juanita Fannie Clark Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1924 - 2011

Juanita Fannie ClarkOn Tuesday, April 26, 2011, the angels reached out their arms and carried Juanita Metcalf Clark to her heavenly home with Jesus. She was 86 years old.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery also in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29th, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Clark died at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

Juanita was born on November 8, 1924, in Newton, TX, to Sim L. and Lula Metcalf and had 10 brothers and sisters.

Juanita was a loving mother to her daughter and devoted grandmother, known as "Maw Maw Kountze". She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed playing bingo and seeing the lights of Las Vegas. Juanita was never at a loss for words and could make a complete stranger laugh with her witty comments and interesting stories.

She proudly served her country during WWII in the US Army as a WAC and was the epitome of a 'jack of all trades', working at times as a cook, caretaker, welder and at several other crafts.

Survivors include her daughter, Geraldine Rebert and husband Clinton of Bridge City, granddaughter, Stacy Raborn and husband Brian of Mansfield, TX, grandson Clint Rebert and wife Courtney of Nederland, great grandsons Kolby and Kalen of Mansfield, TX, great granddaughter, Camrynne of Nederland, and several nieces, nephews, and other close relatives.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Lula and Sim L. Metcalf, as well as six brothers and four sisters.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt "thank you" to the staff of Harbor Hospice where, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 2450 N Major Dr, Beaumont, TX 77713.

Just heard about your mothers passing and wanted you to know that I'm thinking of you and your family. I think of you often and consider you a very good old friend. I am very sorry that I will not be able to attend the service as we have committed to grandchildrens activities in Waco. Look forward to seeing you at our next homecoming if not sooner. PS Lester is out of town till Sunday and I will let him know as soon as he gets back. Just remember the people that know you, love you.

She made it to heaven to have a birthday party with her sister Mae,today is Moms birthday 4/27/11. They were inseperable. One could see and one could hardly see and when they went out Aunt Juanita would say "hell Mae, watch what you're doing". I'm going to miss you Aunt Juanita, and as long as you were alive I had a little of my mom with me.
