I feel lucky to say I was a friend of Donnie's. Our Dad's drove trucks for Gulf Oil and when we moved to Lumberton in '76 our families got together quite often. Donnie always had a smile on his face and had that wonderful laugh. He is a wonderful person that will truly be missed. My condolences and prayers to his children and the rest of the family.

So sorry to hear about Donnie. I was a college friend of Donnie's from Lamar. Even though we haven't talked in over 10 years, Donnie always comes up in conversation because he was with me the night I met my wife in 1990. Donnie was by far the one of the most likeable and positive person I have ever met. My prayers and thoughts are with his family. Troy England

He was sick at the time, and even then he was full of laughter. I will miss him. I pray that God will comfort Donnies family and friends during this time of mourning.

It was only 3 short years go that Donnie supported me in my grief at the loss of Bryon, my husband and his friend. They became very close over the years as they worked together at Chevron and remained friends both in business and out. Although we both knew Donnie in school, it was over the past 10 years that we REALLY got to know him. He was without a doubt very compassionate about his famiy. Loved them all dearly. Especially Kate and Emma. They always were spoken of so proudly. Donnie's laughter and caring spirit will truly be missed. It is without doubt that he has touched many in his short 45 yrs on earth. Prayers are with you Brenda, Kate and Emma, as well as all other family members.

I have been out of touch with Donnie for a couple of years as I live overseas...I am just shocked and deeply saddened by this news. Donnie and I were good friends at Lamar and were room mates in Houston in the mid-90's. Donnie was probably one of the most friendly and charismatic people I knew and could always be counted on as a friend. My heart and prayers go out to his family, especially his daughters. Mom and I are so sad to hear of Donnie's passing. He was a wonderful friend and person. He will be truly missed. I have many happy memories of him through our time in 4-H, band, school, and even when we went to prom and then to breakfast at his parents house. He was devoted to his daughters and loved them very much. I didnt get to see much of him through the years after school but when I did it was like we never missed a beat. We now have another precious angel in Heaven. He will be forever in my heart. Debbie Condon
