Your father was my first boss after I graduated from SWTSU (now TX State) in 1978. Since that time I've had many bosses, but none do I remember as fondly as Mr. Read. I am so sorry he is gone; you have my deepest condolence.

Randy, I wish I could be there for the funeral. I cannot tell you how much Uncle Bob meant to all of us. He was a man of principle and integrity rarely found anymore. The last time I was in Silsbee Paul and I visited him and I considered it the highlight of the visit. At 93 he was the same man he had always been. I want you to know he will be missed by my family. Our prayers are with you and your family at this time of loss. Love, Jack

Uncle Bob was always my favorite uncle. His zest for life was contagious and his integrity, second to no one I've ever known. Randy, Margaret, Rob, Chris & Randal, my deepest condolences go out to you. I know how much you'll miss the last great Read of his generation...we will miss him too. God's grace and mercy be with you all. Love, Paul
