Papa, If the story was told only heaven knows, his hat seemed to me like an old halo. And although his wings they were never seen I thought that he walked on water. I loved him and he loved me. Today I cried when I got the call that he had died. His stories will go on and the love will remain. He will be carried on in our hearts . Every time I will think of him a tear will roll down my cheek. I wish I could have held his hand and kissed his cheek before he had died but I was blessed that I spoke to him by phone one last time and was able to tell him just how much I loved him. But I know PAPA that youre in a better place and you probably asked God if you could get a special place in heaven so you can watch over me and all the family. I wish I could hug & kiss you, and listen to one last story. I Will always charish the moments that we had together. I love you PAPA and miss you so very much.

I'm sorry I could not attend your Dad's service. I was ill and couldn't drive. I have a picture of him in my mind. It was about Tuesday two weeks ago. I passed his house and he was sitting on his back porch and something told me to go back and visit with him, but I wasn't feeling too well that day so I came on home. Of course, now I wish I had turned around and gone back. I will miss checking for him every time I pass his house. I know you'll all miss him.
