Funeral services for Derl Thomas Terry, 82, of Lawndale, NC, formerly of Fred, will be 10:00 am Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Terry died June 4, 2011 at the VA Hospital in Asheville, NC.
A native of Ashdown, Arkansas, Derl was a long time resident of this area. He was a welder by trade, retiring from Brown and Root. Mr. Terry proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
Derl was preceded in death by his wife Pauline. He is survived by his son David Terry of Lawndale, NC; daughters Anita Terry and Peggy Spring, both of Silsbee; eight grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
