Funeral services for Thomas Jerry Franklin, 59, of Zavalla will be 11:00 am Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Victory in Jesus Church in Town Bluff under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm Monday at the church.
Mr. Franklin died June 18, 2011 at Lufkin Memorial Hospital.
A native of Vicksburg, Mississippi Thomas lived most of his life in Spurger before moving to Zavalla 6 years ago. He was a retired foreman for Union Pacific Railroad.
Survivors include wife Donna Marie Franklin of Zavalla; children Shane and wife Jennifer Franklin of Louisiana, Crystal and husband Clynt Angelo and Cody and wife Rebecca Franklin all of Texas, Tiphany and husband Pete Chrisikos of New York, Shannon and husband Allen Sontag, Niccole and husband Kevin Roscoe, Amber and husband Scott Holloman and Erin Christian all of Texas; parents Will T. and Bessie Franklin of Utica, Mississippi; seventeen grandchildren; brothers Dennis Franklin and William Franklin both of Mississippi; numerous nieces and nephews and beloved friend Sambo Callaway.
