Roy Don Carver Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1948 - 2011 A memorial service for Roy Don Carver, 62, of Spurger will be 10:00 am Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Mr. Carver died June 21, 2011 at his residence. A native of Wheeler, Roy was a long time resident of Spurger. He worked in the warehouse for SPS before retiring and proudly served his country in the US Marines during the Vietnam Era. Roy was preceded in death by a brother, Travis Carver. Survivors include his wife, Vickie Mitchell Carver of Spurger; daughters, Melissa Parr of Pampa, Whitney Carver and Haley Carver, both of Lumberton; sons Ryan Carver of Amarillo and Terry Frankum of Spurger; parents Charles and Mozelle Carver of Amarillo; brothers David Carver and Jerry Carver, both of Amarillo and Eddie Byrd of Lubbock; sister Marty Thurman of St. Louis, MO; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Sis. Vickie & Family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Bro. Don was such a sweet man, and very annointed in his song. His blessed life will be missed. The angels are delighting in his presence and rejoicing with him. I can just see him sitting and playing for the church- a memory of a servant who witnessed through song. I pray God's peace find your heart in knowing he is with him; praising God with the angels. I love ya'll, and your in my prayers.
