Funeral services for James Franklin Sasser, Jr., 86, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 23, 2011 at R.S. Farmer Funeral Home with a graveside military service following in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin 5:00 pm Friday, July 22, 2011 at the funeral home.
Mr. Sasser was a member of the Hardin County Sheriff posse and served his country in the Army during WWII.
Survivors include wife Hazel B. Sasser; sons Jim Sasser and wife Darlene of OH and Joe Sasser and wife Gina of Beaumont; daughter Judy Petry and the late Henry Petry of Silsbee; half brother Charlie Sasser and half sister Diane Sasser; four grandchildren, James Sasser IV, Alfred Sasser, Benjamin Sasser and Kristofer Sasser and five great grandchildren

Although I did not personally know Mr. Sasser, I do know his son, Joe and if Mr. Sasser was anything at all luke his son, I would have loved to have known him.
