Aunt Ema Lou was one of a kind! She was always kind to us Harper kids when we were young. As an adult, when I was around her more, I found her to have a dry sense of humor and she always had me laughing. She will be missed by all who knew her. Love you all!

Aunt Ema Lou, I remember your sharp wit and dry humor and that it was never easy to keep up with you; that Harper charm of yours would garner a smile or laugh from the most sour "lemon"! I know you are my grandmother's (Winnie Harper Williams) beloved "Baby" and that all 10 of you Harper children are now at the Heavenly Harper Family Reunion. My thoughts and prayers are with your earthly loved ones now as they learn to go on with their lives. Love from Mike Cudd, Ramona Cudd Griffiths, Peggy Cudd Howell, and especially Karen Cudd Soester in Florida.

My condolences to all the Hawthorne family. Mrs. Hawthorne was part of the "village" that helped me grow as a child. The world is a better place because of her.
