Lillian M. Spence born on July 5, 1923 passed away peacefully on Sept. 18, 2011 at Village Creek Nursing Home.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Roy Rodgers, her parents Ross and Mamie Baker: brother Hubert Baker and late husband James Wallace Spence.
She is survived by her daughter Connie and husband David Cluck of Lumberton, Texas; sons Hubert Rodgers of San Marcos Tx, Billy Rodgers and wife Janice of Austin, Tx., Rick Rodgers and wife Rita of Leander, Tx. She is also survived by daughters Peggy Caldwell of Lexington, Tx., Brenda Spence of Houston, Tx.; son Bruce Spence and wife Jolynn of La Grange, Tx.; brothers Jimmy, Donald, and Ross Baker all of Beaumont, Tx.; sister Bess Staha of Beaumont, Tx. along with 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, September, 21, 2011 at R.S. Farmer Funeral Home with graveside being at Lexington City Cemetery. Visitation will begin 5:00pm Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at Farmer Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all nurses and CNA's both past and present of Village Creek Nursing Home and also gratefully appreciated the true kindness of her roommate Anna.
