
Funeral services for Beulah Mae Willis, 89, of Lumberton will be 2:00 pm Monday, September 26, 2011 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm Monday before the service.
Mrs. Willis died September 24, 2011 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A native of Beaumont, Beulah lived there before moving to Lumberton 22 years ago. She graduated from South Park High School and attended Lamar Jr. College.
She married Howard Willis on September 12, 1941. Beulah was very devoted to her husband of 70 years. She was his right hand in every project he worked on. She was a member of the Lumberton Church of Christ.
Beulah is preceded in death by her daughter Betty Tankersley of Kentucky and son in law Marshall Dickerson of Crystal Beach.
Survivors include husband Howard Willis of Lumberton; daughters Velma Rae Dickerson and Jackie Eileen Holton and husband Bill both of Beaumont; son in law Robert Tankersley of Kentucky; brothers Richard Iva Hart of Spurger and William Joseph Hart of Bevil Oaks; six grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
The family would like to give special thanks to the caregivers at Coastal Caregivers and the staff at Harbor Hospice. They would also like to extend a special thank you to Amy Chaney, Cathy Kirk and Ann McOskar.
In lieu of flowers the family request that memorial donations be made to Lumberton Church of Christ 90 W Chance Road or Harbor Hospice 2450 N Major Dr Beaumont.
