Funeral services for James Lee Landis, 77, of Evadale will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Landis died October 8, 2011 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
James was a native and longtime resident of Silsbee before moving to Evadale 45 years ago. He worked for Gulf States Utilities and retired with the State of Texas as a contractor.
Preceded in death by his oldest son Rex Landis. Survivors include his wife of 54 years Lavern Landis of Evadale; son Scott L. Landis of Clarksville, Arkansas; daughter Jami L. Landis of Evadale; grandson Garrett L. Landis of Evadale; two nephews and one niece.
