I just heard about Mr. Ross's passing at my 50th class reunion in New London, Texas.
He was the BEST Band Director ever. I led his band as drum major in 1966 and 1967. We had a great time under his leadership!!

LaVerne and family, what sweet memories we hold of Bonnie!
How wonderful to spread his love of music to so many.
Ross, I'm thinking of you, also, during this difficult time.
Please know I am sending prayers of comfort from across the miles...

I am so sorry, Laverne. Bonnie was such a fine person. Of course memories go back to SFA days. Judy will tell Jimmie and he will be sad. You and daughters or in my thoughts and prayers.

When I was a sophomore in high school, Bonnie Wayne, a senior befriended me and taught me a great deal about decency, being responsible, and caring for others. Obviously he continued to teach other people these and many other positive character traits.
I mourn the death of this fine man and pray that God will comfort the family as they deal with their loss.

You will be in our prayers and thoughts. I know that the two of had a good marriage and you will miss him more than anyone could image. During these times trust in our Lord to give you the stength you need. I wish I could say something to help you and know that there is nothing. The only thing I can think of is he didn"t have to suffer in pain and long time. We will miss playing golf with him and his special personality. He had a special place in Ronnie's and my heart we too will miss him. Love Ronnie and Freda Roach.

I was a real shock when I received the email about Bonnie. He and I were roommates for two years at SFA. He was a great person to know and Will surely be missed by many. My heart goes out to LaVerne and family during this difficult loss.

I knew Bonnie when he was at New London and later West Rusk while I was at DEaingerfield. I remember that he had really outstanding bands. He wasted me at several halftimes when we played West Rusk. My condolences to LaVerne and his other family, He was a good friend.
