Leontine "Sissy" Johnson of Lumberton went to be with the Lord on November 9th.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Sid Johnson. Also her parents Mr. and Mrs. T.S. Gilmore and a sister Betty Jo Johnson.
She and Sid lived in Lumberton over 25 years and truly loved the community. She and Sid were faithful members of First Baptist Church of Lumberton.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by her two sons, Terry S. Johnson and his wife Cyndi and Jerry J. Johnson and wife Darlene; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a beloved niece Brenda.
The family would like to thank the staff at Silsbee Convalescent Center for the loving care they gave Mrs. Johnson while there.
Graveside services will be held 10:00 am at Forest Lawn in Beaumont at the Garden of the Seasons on Saturday, November 12, 2011 under the direction of R.S. Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
A gathering of friends and family will begin at 6:00pm-8:00pm Friday, November 11, 2011 at the funeral home.
