A true soldier for Christ has left us and gone on to his reward. I admired Ray and Thena and was privilaged to visit with them from time to time the past few years. May our Lord grant Thena peace and comfort as I know she will find through His Word.

Dear ones, I am so saddened for the loss of Uncle Ray. He was loved by so many, including myself. My earliest memories of him were around the time I was 8 or 9 and he let my brother, my sister and I play pool on his pool table. He explained in that powerful voice of his how careful we needed to be and not scrape the cloth. He had a belly laugh I'll never forget. An insight to God's word I strive to have. My daughter got to meet him when she was about 9 months old. He held her on his lap, and before he realized it she had taken his pen from his shirt pocket and drawn all over the front of his shirt. I was so embarrassed, but he said he was proud because he'd gotten her autograph. Love you Uncle Ray. Love you Aunty Thena.

So live, that when thy summons comes to join
The innumerable caravan which moves
To that mysterious realm, where each shall take
His chamber in the silent halls of death,
Thou go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged to his dungeon, but, sustained and soothed
By an unfaltering trust, approach thy grave
Like one who wraps the drapery of his couch
About him, and lies down to pleasant dreams.
