Dollie Mae Harris, 93, of Buna, passed from her home on June 5, 2012 to be with her Heavenly Father while she was surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am Friday, June 8, 2012 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
Dollie was born in Call Junction December 3, 1918 to Kenneth and Hattie Day. Dollie worked at Baptist Hospital for 16 years and Silsbee Doctors Hospital for 7 years as a nurses assistant while raising eight children.
Mrs. Harris is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Orbalee Harris, her parents, three sisters, a brother and a grandson.
She is survived by sons, Huey Harris, R V Harris and wife Pat, James Harris and wife Janice and Roger Harris, all of Buna; daughters, Effie Moss of Evadale, Wanda Cates and husband Arnold of Buna, Betty Emenheiser of Winnie and Linda Richards of Vidor; sisters, Ruby Brannon of Silsbee and Merle Meyers of Lumberton and brother Archie Day and wife Dale of Temple. Mrs. Harris is also survived by twelve grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and one great, great grandson.
