I met Mr. Latham only once, and I know he must have been a fine person. He was very friendly, and since I'm related to the Lathams who were early settlers in Shelby County, we decided we must be kin. My sympathies and prayers are with the family.

I found out today about Max, and my first reaction was crying, because I know Max will be missed by so many. I last visited with Max for an hour last year, which could have lasted all day. All he could talk about was those grandkids. First he would say how there was so many, all the time, all around their home. Then he smiled and said, "But I can't imagine a day without them." He loved his wife, his kids, his friends, but definitely those grandkids...
We all have a deficit in our lives with Max no longer here. But I have to admit, my paw paw has been up in Heaven waiting a long time for his good friend to join him. Max and Pete may just give those angels a run for their money!!! I'd love to see it.
Joan, just know that man loved you so much. Now you have an extra angel in Heaven watching over you. He is restored, free from pain, looking down on you every day. I hope you can find some peace in that. We love you!!!!
