Memorial service for James Douglas Workman, 69, of Buna will be 3:00 pm Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Mr. Workman died July 13, 2012 at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor.
James was a native of Star City, AR. and a resident of Buna. He was a retired pile driver.
Survivors include wife Margie Workman of Buna; son Jimmy Ray Workman and wife Donna Faye of Buna; daughter Cindy Louise Goins and husband James of Buna; brother Robert Lee Workman of Livingston; grandchildren Valerie Renee Artego and husband Corey, Bradley Goins, Jeremiah Workman, Jeff Workman, James Workman and Jimmy Workman and great grandchildren Penelope, Vivian, and Simon James Artego.

It is hard to say good bye to James. He use to come to our house since Junior High school days. He was the best friend of my bother, Richard Wayne Boyd and was like a brother to the rest of us. So many good and funny memories with James. RIP amigo and know that you were loved by your sweet wife and children. My sincere condolences to Margie Nell and all of your children, grandchildren, great granchildren and families.

My brothers and I grew up with James Workman in Groves/Port Arther. I have fond memories of him. He always liked to play jokes on everyone. He will be missed.
