Carolyn Douglas McLaughlin Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1932 - 2012 Funeral services for Carolyn Douglas McLaughlin, 80, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Thursday, October 25, 2012 at R S Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. McLaughlin died October 21, 2012 at her residence. A native of Falkville, AL, Carolyn was a long time resident of Silsbee. She was a registered nurse. Carolyn enjoyed gardening and loved the beach and trips to Florida with her family. Mrs. McLaughlin was preceded in death by her husband, E L McLaughlin. Survivors include her sons, John McLaughlin and wife Julie of Carrollton and Tommy McLaughlin and wife Sonja of Silsbee; daughter Leigh Waldrep and husband Weldon of Silsbee, special daughter Jody Dulaney of Silsbee and sister Evelyn Vest of Hartselle, AL. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Josh McLaughlin, Tucker Smith, Ashley Frye, Amanda McLaughlin, Joanie McLaughlin, J T McLaughlin, Laura Lea McLaughlin, Daniel Waldrep and Douglas Waldrep and several great grandchildren.

Carolyn and Mr. Mac we be greatly missed as our neighbors up at the lake. We all are sorry to here of the loss of your mom and may our prayers be with you all. Carolyn & Daddy Mac were the greatest of the great generation! They worked hard and loved God, their people and their country. They are the best of the best and I sure am better 'cause I got to hang out with them!

John, Tommy, and Leigh I am saddened by the loss of your Mom. Mrs. Mac was one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. My prayers got to each of you and your families. I know she and your Dad are joyous to be together in Jesus' loving arms.
