1949 - 2015

C. W. Smith, 65, of Spurger passed away January 16, 2015 at his residence.

He was a US Marine Veteran, crane operator for Anthony Crane and was retired from Mead Westvaco in Evadale. He also enjoyed playing pool.

Survivors sons Chad Wayne Smith and Josh Spurlock both of Silsbee; sisters Sally Chance of Fred, Beckie Fogleman of Colfax, Louisiana and Annie Elliott of Fred and grandchildren Christian James, Hayden Thomas, Mackenzie Elizabeth and Callen Wayne (Little C. W.).

He is preceeded in death by his parents Clyde C. and Vivian Jenkins Smith and sisters Mary Bryant and Betty Ann Smith.

Visitation will be Monday, January 19, 2015 beginning at 12 noon with funeral to follow at 2:00 pm at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Burial will follow at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred.

I'm so sorry for your loss. CW and i were co-workers at the Extruder for years . He was clever and fun to be around as well as smart with knowledge. He will be greatly missed.God Bless

Condolences to the family of C.W. Smith. He was a fixture at so many billiards related functions that I and his many friends attended in Silsbee, Beaumont, and Port Arthur Texas as well as Southwest Louisiana. He was a good man, a straight shooter, and very good at billiards. I will miss seeing him at the table as will his many friends. RIP C. W. ... !~
