Funeral services for Ruth Evelyn Laurent, 92, of Silsbee will be 2:00 PM Sunday November 20, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 4 PM until 7 PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Laurent passed away Thursday November 17, 2016 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care.
She was born January 31, 1924 in Village Mills and was a longtime resident of Silsbee.
She is preceded in death by her parents Chester and Ella Gore Crain; husband Elmer Curtis “Buddy” Laurent; daughters Betty Lois Harris, Jo Ann Rich, and Lucy Lindsey.
Survivors include sons Richard Elmer Laurent Sr. and wife Kim of Spurger, Herman Jackson Laurent Sr. of Spurger, Chester Curtis Laurent and wife Bobbie of Spurger and Tommy Lynn Laurent and wife Kathy of Silsbee; daughters Sarah Richardson and husband William Lee of Mauriceville, Rose Lee York and husband Eddie of Silsbee, Shirley Darlene Laurent of Silsbee, Mary Dryden and husband L.C. of Kountze, and Mae Page of Granite Shoals, TX, and Shirley Foster of Silsbee ; brother William “Budro” Crain of Dam B; thirty-six grandchildren and numerous great, and great great grandchildren.
