Funeral services for Jewell Knight, 85, of Evadale will be 2:00 pm Saturday November 19, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 pm until service time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Knight passed away November 17, 2016 at Silsbee Oaks Health Care.
She was born September 23, 1931 in Silsbee and was a longtime resident of Evadale.
Mrs. Knight is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years Truman B. Knight Jr.; parents Tom and Kattie Womack; granddaughter Chrissy Day; great grandchild Neches Lee Parham; step-son Dale Knight; brothers Curry Womack and Lee Womack; and sister Lee Welk.
Survivors include sons Jay Lee Hare and wife Freddye of Silsbee, Jerry Lynn Hare and wife Glenda of Silsbee; daughters Darlene DeFee and husband Mike of Hemphill, Gay Day and husband Buddy of Evadale; stepson Daron Knight of Beaumont; stepdaughter Danell Hughes of Beaumont. Sister Frances Forse and husband Bobby Lee of Silsbee; eight grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
