Funeral services for R. V. “Jack” Whisenant, 90, of Fred will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred.
Visitation will be 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at the funeral home.
Mr. Whisenant passed away June 10 at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
Jack was a lifelong resident of Fred. He was a burner operator with Bethlehem Steel. He proudly served is country with the US Marines.
He is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Nervie Whisenant; son Steve Whisenant and daughter Christie Phillips.
Survivors include wife Myrtis Whisenant of Fred; sons Thomas Graham and wife Diane and Tim Whisenant and wife Donna all of Fred; daughter Patricia Schwander of Rockport, Texas; eight grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.
