
Funeral services for Charles R. Rawls, 86, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Baker Bell Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Rawls passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Charles was born February 25, 1931 in Houston to John Edward and Frankie Marie Woods Rawls. He was a lifelong resident of Silsbee.
Mr. Rawls proudly served his country in the US Army during the Korean War and worked as a tool pusher for Murphy Oil Co before retiring. He enjoyed taking his horses and wagons and trail riding with his family and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Jim Rawls and Tootsie Rawls; sister Eloise Clark, and son Eugene Graham
Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife Brenda Fay Wilkerson Rawls of Silsbee; sons Charles E Rawls of Silsbee, Joe Dockens and wife Linda of Brookland, Mark Young of Silsbee, Michael Borque and wife Candace of Lumberton and Kevin Borque and wife Mindy of Sour Lake; daughters Ann Gilbert and husband John of Newton, Christina Gore and husband Calvin of Silsbee, Katrina Unger of Kirbyville, Michelle Borque of Lumberton and Renee Pittman and husband Richard of Colmesneil. Mr. Rawls is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
