
A memorial service for Curtis Byron Collins Sr., 86, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Mr. Collins passed away July 2, 2017 at his residence.
A native and longtime resident of Port Arthur, he had lived in Silsbee for 6 years. Curtis worked many years as a switchman for Texaco Refinery before retiring.
Mr. Collins is preceded in death by his parents Lois Lester Collins Sr. and Juanita White Collins; wife of 54 years and mother of his children Frances Sanford Collins; son Curtis Byron Collins Jr.; grandson Curtis Byron Collins III and brother Lois Lester “LL” Collins Jr.
Survivors include his wife of over 6 years, Maxine Caraway Collins of Silsbee; sons Craig Collins of Carrollton, Joel R. Caraway of Winnie, and James C. Caraway of Lumberton; daughters Lee Ann Collins of Bridge City, Kimberly Finch of Silsbee and Beverly Collins of Bridge City; sister Eileen Powell of Port Arthur; sister-in-law Cleo Collins Phillips of Port Neches; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Curtis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
