1969 -

Deborah Dee Sanford Smith

Funeral services for Deborah Dee Sanford Smith, 48, of Silsbee will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Freedom Fellowship Church with interment following in R S Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until time of service at the church.

Deborah passed away September 7, 2017 at the Oasis of Hope in Tijuana, Mexico.

Mrs. Smith was born in Silsbee February 20, 1969 to R F “Sleepy” and Mattie Dee Baker Sanford. She lived in Hardin County most of her life. The thing that brought her the most joy in life was being a wife and mother. She was overwhelmed with joy about the pending arrival of her grandson, Nolan.

Deborah and her husband Jerry were missionaries to Kenya for 5 years and served on other mission trips in other places in the world. She was also a published author and made the best seller list of faith based books on Amazon.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her parents.

Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband Jerry Smith of Silsbee; daughters Haeley Smith Batman and husband Kent and Arden Smith, both of Silsbee; brothers Alan Sanford and wife Joanne of Silsbee, Roy Sanford and Ricky Sanford, both of Sam Rayburn and her soon to arrive grandson, Nolan Batman.

Deborah was a wonderful and caring daughter, sister, wife and mother and would have been an adoring grandmother.

She will be dearly missed by her loving family and many, many friends.
