Clara Lavern Cole passed away Thursday, July 11, 2013.
She was born Oct. 2, 1933, in Mason County, to James and Clara Kidd. She grew up in Loyal Valley and attended Fredericksburg High School. She married Sidney Percy Cole on Dec. 18, 1951. They moved to Kerrville with a newborn son in 1953.
Clara is survived by her daughter, Drusilla Dommert; two grandsons, Christopher and Cole Dommert; her daughter-in-law, Julia Cole; brother and sister-in-law, Irby and Lurleen Cole; nieces, Carol Ann Finger, Jannean Sowden, Linda Kay Humphreys and June Roberts; and nephews, Gordon Kidd Jr. and John Byerley.
The family would like to share the words of Jesus in John 14. Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God trust also in me. In my Fathers house are many rooms: if it were not so I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me; that you may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going. I am the way and the truth and the life.
Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Hosanna Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jim Mueller will officiate the services.
In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Hosanna Lutheran Church.
