Anita  CochranAnita Snell Cochran, who went to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on December 17,1947 in Pasadena, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur Eddie Snell and Odessa Blackwell Snell and her husband, Alan Brice Cochran. She married Alan on April 19,1968 in Deer Park, Texas. They spent 37 years together in Pasadena, Texas. They raised two children, Aaron Brice and Allison Beth. Anita was a homemaker and was blessed to be home with her children throughout their childhood. Alan and Anita moved to their weekend getaway in Leakey, Texas in 2000. They loved life in Leakey and enjoyed watching all the wildlife that they kept well fed. After Alan's death in 2006, Anita remained in Leakey, Texas but spent a great deal of time in San Antonio, Texas with her granddaughters. Anita loved cooking, sewing, reading and being on her computer. Her granddaughter Amantha Bleue "Manty" , spent the last several years living with Anita in Leakey, Texas. Life with Manty gave Anita great joy and spirit. Anita recently became a great-grandmother and enjoyed planning and preparing for the birth of Colt Alan and Liam West and was overjoyed with their arrival. She spent most of days sewing baby blankets and spending time with her family. Her last days were spent with her children, granddaughters and great- grandsons and having them all with her at one time made her the happiest mother ever.

She is survived by her son, Aaron Brice Cochran and partner Patrick Green of Portland, Oregon; daughter Allison Beth Cochran-Howard and husband Kurt Howard of San Antonio, Texas, granddaughters Alana Belle and Akaela Breanne Cochran-Howard of San Antonio, Texas and Amantha Bleue Cochran-Howard of Leakey, Texas; great grandsons, Colt Alan and Liam West Cochran-Howard of San Antonio, Texas; brother Greg Snell and wife Sharon Snell of Pasadena, Texas; brother Eric Snell and partner Augustine Ramirez of LaPorte, Texas; sister Chantal "Cissy" Snell of Alvin, Texas; nephew Wesley Eric Snell of Alvin, Texas; niece Camryn Odessa Snell of Alvin, Texas and her beloved companion and baby "Sophie."

Rosary will be held at 12 noon, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Saint Raymond's Catholic Church in Leakey, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 pm, Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 at Saint Raymond's Catholic Church in Leakey, Texas with Deacon Ruben Navarro will officiating all services. Interment will follow at the Leakey Floral Cemetery in Leakey, Texas.
