1935 - 2014

Erin Carol Mc Clintock Erin Carol McClintock, 78, passed into the arms of the Lord on Friday, March 14, 2014 at a local care facility. She was born on March 23, 1938 in Louisville, Kentucky, to Malcom and Anna Foster. Erin was a young girl the family moved to Texas, where she completed her education, met and married the love of her life James Don McClintock. Their union lasted 61 years and produced three children.

Survivors include her husband, Don McClintock of Kerrville; brother Larry Foster, sister Ann Foster both of Fredericksburg, and sister Connie Foster of San Francisco, California; three children Donna McClintock, of Big Bear, California, Steven McClintock of Long Beach, California and Danny McClintock of Irvine, California; additional survivors include brother and sister in-law Jack and Jackie McClintock of Kerrville, sister in-law Beverly McClintock of San Marcos, sister in-law Margaret McClintock and partner Pat Morrison of Dallas, ten grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous cousins.

Erin moved to Kerrville in 1980 when Don accepted an administrative position with Kerrville ISD. Soon after their arrival she began work at Nimitz elementary as a library aid, where her warm and loving personality soon made her a favorite staff member. She continued her service to the children of Nimitz until her retirement in 1993. She then embarked on the second career as a highly dedicated volunteer in the resale shop of the Kerrville State Hospital.

She was an accomplished singer, who loved the Lord, and was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church. She spent many years praising His name as a member of the choir. She was featured member of the musical group known as the Grace Notes. They sang at many special musical events in the church and the community.

Erin was a model of spiritual love, joy and kindness who will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be sent to the Kerrville State Hospital Volunteer Services Council.

A memorial service celebrating the life of Erin Carol McClintock will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2014, 4pm, at Trinity Baptist Church.
