Eben David StaggsEben David Staggs, 84 of Barboursville (formerly of Logan), went to be with the Lord at his residence on September 8, 2023 after a brief illness. He was born on December 15, 1938, in Logan, WV, a son of the late Harry H. and Mary E. (Forbes) Staggs. He was a member of the Huntington First Church of the Nazarene in Huntington, WV and a former employee of Xerox Corporation as a service technician. He is survived by his loving and faithful wife of 65 years, Shirley (Browning) Staggs of Barboursville; daughter, Sharron (Steve) Vincent of Parkersburg; son, Frank (Janet) Staggs of Barboursville; seven grandchildren, Kandi Staggs of Michigan, Katrina (Chris) Staggs of Virginia, Heather (Taylor) Stumbo of Flatwoods, Kentucky, Tiffany (Tyler) Dickens of Ashland, Kentucky, Eben Staggs of Michigan, Steven Vincent of Parkersburg, and Kevin Vincent of Parkersburg; eight great-grandchildren Lily, Dakota, Hunter, Gavin, Peyton, Sutton, Hayden and Arabella; two brothers, Tom Staggs and Oscar Staggs; two sisters, Betsy Brewer & Dolores Lopes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Ebenetta Rhinehart; son, Harry Staggs and an infant brother, Cary Eugene Staggs. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at Huntington First Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Marc Price officiating. Entombment will follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Barboursville. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and after 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation in his memory to the church of your choice. Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel in Barboursville is assisting the family.
