Albert “Ray” Ramey, 69, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 20, 2023 at St. Marys Medical Center. Ray was born on March 23, 1954 to the late, Arnold Ramey and Georgia Adkins. He is also preceded in death by one brother, Ardra “Lee” Ramey (Dana) and by two sisters, Jeanette Booth (Mike) and Carolyn Booth. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Gail Ramey; one brother, Elbert Adkins (Alice); two children who he adored, Michelle and significant other Tom Potter and Justin Ramey (Samantha). He has five grandchildren who each held a special place in their grandpa’s heart, Lilian Mitchell and significant other Mason McCallister, Grace Mitchell, Haley, Briahna, and “the baby”, Brooklyn Ramey. Special pet Ella Bean who was his best friend, also a lot of nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Good friends, Joe and Tony who has made some great memories with Ray. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors but most of all he loved spending time with his grandchildren and making unforgettable memories for each one to hold dear. He will be missed dearly. Funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will follow in the Jones Cemetery, East Lynn, W.Va.
