Carlos Ray Hensley, 83, of Milton, passed away February 3, 2024, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. He was born April 19, 1940, in Salt Rock, WV, son of the late Christopher and Ethel Keyser Hensley. He is also preceded in death by his loving wife Wanda Jane Chapman Hensley; siblings Marshall Hensley, Irene Cooper, Lorene Stewart, Ronnie Hensley, and Dottie Cordell. He was a member of Milton Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and a trustee. He was a member of the Lebanon Lodge #68 A.F. & A.M., Milton. He is survived by his daughter Amy Leslie (Robert) of Hurricane; one sister Dorothy Sampson of Huntington; several very special nieces and nephews. His nephews will be honorary pallbearers. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at Milton Baptist Church, by Pastor Tracy Mills. Entombment will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Milton Baptist Church. Masonic services will be conducted by the Lodge. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Western West Virginia Animal Rescue Alliance (Cabell Wayne Animal Shelter) or One by one animal advocates.
