Opal Mae Saunders, 90, of Glenwood, WV, passed away February 9, 2024. She was born November 13, 1933, in Glenwood, WV, daughter of the late Clovis Perry Mount and Bessie Edith Woodrum Mount. She was also preceded in death by her husband Chester Richard Saunders; two sons Michael Richard Saunders and Alan Denver Saunders; and siblings Marion Mount, Eugene Marvin Rider and Arnold Ray Rider. She is survived by one daughter Shelia Mayes; one son James Perry Saunders (Patty); grandchildren Christopher Mayes, Amber Paugh, Richard Saunders, Jacob Saunders and Caleb Saunders; eight great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Union Ridge Cemetery, Glenwood, by Pastor Steve Hinkle.
